Set in 22 acres of beautifully natural gardens, Shore Hall is a 16th-century manor house featuring all the modern luxuries and technology you need for an exceptional experience. You can step back in time without stepping out of your comfort zone.
The manor sleeps up to 22 people and includes three residences: Shore Hall Manor House, Writers Cottage, and Cartwheel Cottage. They can be hired separately or together to accommodate solo visitors, couples, families, or large groups.
Our rooms are appointed with luxury linens supplied by The Fine Cotton Company, a UK business dedicated to organic and sustainable cotton products. From our bathrobes to our bed linens, you’ll be wrapped in luxurious comfort and style.

The Writers Cottage - sleeping up to 5
Boasting its historic clock tower, the Writers Cottage is a quintessential country home with modern amenities and tasteful decor. This unique cottage includes a comfortable sitting room, spacious open-plan kitchen, dining area, and three bedrooms: the Virginia Room, the Morrison Suite (with an ensuite bathroom and claw-foot tub), and the Poet’s Corner, a charming single room.
Cartwheel Cottage - sleeping 2
Sitting pretty next to a picturesque pond which was once a cart wash for the Manor of Wood Hall (as it was known), this charming cottage has a fascinating history that dates back to the reign of Edward III. The old barn has been lovingly transformed into a delightful haven for one or two people. With its high ceilings, cosy wood-burning stove, and beautiful exposed beams, Cartwheel Cottage effortlessly combines spaciousness, natural light, and warmth.
